Have not posted a session for ages although I have been out. Too lazy I guess but today needs special mention. Rushed off to West Kirby at lunchtime with speed gear in tow. There was plenty enough wind about but did not have anything smaller than the 5.8 so rather nerviously hit the water rather. First run 36 knots and I hardly sheeted in. Soon I got more and more comfortable and although could have done with a 5.2 and smaller fin the 5.8 was super stable. Managed a peak of 40.5 knots and am sure I will get faster with a smaller fin and sail. This speed sailing is pretty addictive.
